EGCO Group’s Khanom Power Plant provides rescue bags to flood affected people in Khanom, Nakhon Si Thammarat
The management, employees, and staff of Khanom Power Plant within EGCO Group jointly prepared and delivered rescue bags and food ingredients to communities and flood victim rescue centers near the Khanom Power Plant, Khlong Baan Reservoir, and Bang Khoo Reservoir in Khanom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, to help who were affected by the severe flooding in southern Thailand in mid-December 2024.
Mr. Nares Chookird, Managing Director of Khanom Electricity Generating Company Limited, stated, “The recent flood caused significant hardship for many people in Nakhon Si Thammarat, including in Khanom District, where many residents were left without basic necessities. As Khanom Power Plant has been part of this community for over 44 years, with a strong commitment “to be a model power plant in environmental conservation and co-exist harmoniously with the community,” we felt it was our responsibility to assist. We are proud to offer primary help and moral support to our neighbors, providing support that will enable them to recover quickly and resume their normal lives.”
As a member of EGCO Group, Khanom Power Plant has been operating in Khanom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, since 1980, contributing to strengthening power security in southern Thailand.
