Dr. Jiraporn Sirikum, President of Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group, received the IEEE PES Women in Power Award 2024 from the IEEE Power & Energy Society – Thailand (IEEE PES – Thailand) represented by Dr. Prasert Sinsukprasert, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy, during the IEEE PES Dinner Talk 2024 recently held at the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao on 28 November 2024. This recognition is awarded to female executives and engineers in the electricity and energy industry who demonstrate exceptional professional expertise or leadership. Dr. Jiraporn, a highly successful executive, has earned widespread acclaim for her strategic management skills and strong commitment to promoting sustainable growth in Thailand's electricity industry, particularly in the areas of clean energy technology and innovation. Her exemplary achievements and proactive initiatives serve as a significant source of inspiration for women executives and engineers in the industry.

Commenting on the award, Dr. Jiraporn Sirikum, EGCO Group’s President, stating, “I am deeply honored to receive this prestigious recognition from the IEEE PES – Thailand. Dr. Jiraporn is an accomplished expert with extensive experience in the electricity business, energy innovations, and strategic business planning. Before her current role, she served as Acting Governor of EGAT. She was as earlier EGAT’s Deputy Governor – Power Business. Previously, she took charge of Deputy Governor – Strategy, serving as EGAT’s Spokesperson. Currently, she holds the position of EGAT’s Deputy Governor – Governor’s Office and has been seconded to EGCO Group as President since May 2024.
