EGCO Group receives “Excellence” or 5 Star rating of 2024 CGR survey for 16th year in a row

Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group earned a 5-Star, or "Excellent," rating for the 16th consecutive year at the 2024 Corporate Governance Report (CGR) of Thai Listed Companies survey in the resource industry category for companies with a market capitalization of over THB10 billion. The company achieved an average score of 103, surpassing all listed companies’ average of 84. This recognition reaffirms investor confidence in EGCO Group as a leading listed company with a strong commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, seamlessly integrating these principles into its operations in alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Corporate Governance Report of Thai Listed Companies 2024 assessment, organized by the Thai Institute of Directors (Thai IOD) with support from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), aims to survey and monitor the development of corporate governance practices among Thai listed companies. The report provides an assessment overview that serves as a benchmark for companies to guide their governance practices and helps regulators enhance corporate governance standards in Thailand. In 2024, a total of 808 listed companies participated in the rating program, with the average score reaching 84.
