EGCO Group’s Khanom Learning Center will encourage children to let their imagination run wild at the “Scientific Innovation Discovery Journey: Empowering Kids with Climate Tech to Lower Impact from Global Boiling” exhibition, where they play role of young engineers, exploring technologies that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Learning is made fun and inspires young kids to learn more about innovations from young innovators worldwide at the immersive theatre which simulates the atmosphere of the floating power plant, as well as enjoying a meeting with EGCO Rangers. All the fun will begin at Khanom Learning Center’s booth at the National Science and Technology Fair 2024, which holds from 16-25 August 2024, from 09.00-19.00 hrs. at Impact, Muang Thong Thani, Hall 11-12. All activities are free.

Ms. Piyanon Wattanachanya, Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group’s Executive Vice President-Corporate Strategy, said, “Khanom Learning Center in Khanom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, was established and supported by EGCO Group. Every year, the center promotes learning and inspires young people to learn science, technology and innovation by participating in the Science Week event at the learning center itself. This year is the second time the center participates in the annual National Science and Technology Fair held by the National Science Museum (NSM) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. This opens an opportunity for the learning center to maximize its capability to promote understanding and knowledge about electricity generation, energy and the sustainable harmony coexistence with the environment in order to create more positive impact. More importantly, our participation in this event will inspire young people to use their imagination and science knowledge to find ways to slow down Climate Change that is the challenge everyone, especially the new generation, has to seriously work together to overcome.”

EGCO Group and Khanom Learning Center invite young people and interested persons to participate in its exhibition, which holds under the “Scientific Innovation Discovery Journey: Empowering Kids with Climate Tech to Lower Impact from Global Boiling” theme. The event will take place from 16-25 August 2024, from 09.00-19.00 hrs., at the National Science and Technology Fair 2024, Hall 9-12, Impact, Muang Thong Thani. Khanom Learning Center’s booth is located between Hall 11-12 covering an area of over 200 square meters. The exhibition includes 3 zones:

  • Zone 1 EGCO Energy for Life: Climate Tech – Brighten up the World: Children will have fun playing role as engineers to explore the energy innovation forests that helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. They will learn more about three key technologies – Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS), hydrogen technology, and battery energy storage system.
  • Zone 2 Empowering Kids with Climate Tech to Lower Impact from Global Boiling: The exhibition takes children back to see the root cause of the Climate Change in the immersive theatre which simulates the atmosphere inside the floating power plant. Children can explore ideas and innovations from other children worldwide, which will bring more inspiration about science and technology learning.
  • Zone 3 Climate Tech Innovation for Better Life: On the Giant Art Wall, children can express their ideas about innovations, creativity and commitment to take good care of the planet.

Visitors to the exhibition can also take the quiz and win prizes, and have fun meetings with EGCO Rangers, the six energy heroes, who will help save the world from the Demon of Darkness.
