EGCO Group’s Khanom Learning Center kicked off the “Scientific Innovation Discovery Journey: Empowering Kids with Climate Tech to Lower Impact from Global Boiling” exhibition at the National Science and Technology Fair 2024 event. EGCO Group’s President Dr. Jiraporn Sirikum and National Science Museum (NSM) of Thailand’s President Asst. Prof. Dr. Rawin Rawivongse jointly presided over the opening of the exhibition that ran from today until 25 August 2024 from 09.00-19.00 hrs., Hall 12, IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani.

Dr. Jiraporn Sirikum, President of Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group, said, “EGCO Group believes that “the good beginning will yield great results.” We, therefore, give high priority to promoting young people’s knowledge and skills in science, innovation and energy technology because young people are the beginning of our country’s future and learning capability. We have held science week event at our Khanom Learning Center in Khanom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat every year. We have been invited to join the National Science and Technology Fair for two consecutive years. We appreciate this opportunity because we can bring benefits and create positive impact on wider audience. More importantly, we can create impressive experience and inspire young people to let their imagination run wild and have fun inventing or developing innovations related to energy and environment. We are giving them the chance to shine and grow in order to be the key player in driving the country’s low carbon society development.”

Young people joining the Khanom Learning Center’s “Scientific Innovation Discovery Journey: Empowering Kids with Climate Tech to Lower Impact from Global Boiling” exhibition at the National Science and Technology Fair 2024 will have a chance to play a role of young engineers, exploring and tracing greenhouse gas reduction technology, watching a movie about the cause of global boiling in the immersive theater, and having fun joining the EGCO Rangers in a mission to fight against global boiling in the following three exhibition zones.

  • Zone 1 EGCO Energy for Life: Climate Tech – Brighten up the World. Children will have fun making their own caps and play a role as engineers to explore the energy innovation forest that helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. They will learn more about three key technologies – Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS), hydrogen technology, and the battery energy storage system.

  • Zone 2 Climate Tech: Empowering Kids to Lower Impact from Global Boiling. EGCO Group takes children back to see the innovation development in the immersive theatre which simulates the atmosphere inside the floating power plant. Children can explore ideas and energy innovations from other children worldwide, which will bring more inspiration about science and technology learning.

  • Zone 3 Climate Tech Innovation for Better Life. On the Giant Art Wall, children can express their ideas about global boiling solution which will inspire other people to take good care of the planet.

At the end of the National Science and Technology Fair 2024, the “Scientific Innovation Discovery Journey: Empowering Kids with Climate Tech to Lower Impact from Global Boiling” exhibition will be moved to Khanom  Learning Center in Khanom District, Nakhon Si Thammarat at its annual science week exhibition beginning in mid-September 2024. The exhibition will continue to inspire young people in the southern Thailand and visitors to learn more about energy innovation and take action to stop global boiling.
