EGCO Group and Thai Conservation of Forest Foundation Invite Public to Visit “Simply the Best” Wildlife Photography Exhibition at BACC, 30 Jan – 11 Feb 2024
Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group and Thai Conservation of Forest Foundation (TCOF) have jointly provided major support for the “Simply the Best” photography exhibition of wildlife in the nature taken by young wildlife photographers and their teacher. The exhibition allows the general public to explore the beauty of wildlife through the lens and inspires them of natural resources conservation. The exhibition is open free for public viewing from 30 January–11 February 2024 at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC)’s curved wall on 5th floor.
Mr. Thepparat Theppitak, President of EGCO Group and Chairman of the Board of TCOF, reiterated that EGCO Group has been operating its business with strong belief that the “good start brings the best end”. The company, therefore, has been seriously promoting biodiversity and natural conservation and rehabilitation in the nation’s significant watershed forests, which are the origin of lives and energy. Such activities have been done through the establishment and support of the TCOF throughout the past 21 years. Considering that wildlife is very important to maintaining ecosystem balance and is a crucial index of rich nature, raising awareness of wildlife through the eyes of photographers is a powerful tool to educate the general public of the close relationship between forest ecosystems and wildlife and create strong a ripple effect on natural resources conservation.
“EGCO Group and TCOF wish to invite nature lovers and conservationists to explore the hidden beauty and value of the forests, wildlife, and the nature in this “Simply the Best” photography exhibition at BACC from 30 January – 11 February 2024. We hope this exhibition will inspire more people to pay attention to and participate in natural conservation and how they can live in harmony and create a balance of life living with the nature and wildlife. We strongly believe in the environment where “forest and wildlife survive, humans will survive.” It is our responsibility to maintain the nature and pass it on the future generations,” said Mr. Thepparat.
“Simply the Best” photography exhibition unveils the secret beauty of nature through the lenses of young wildlife photographers and their teacher – Narong Suwannarong (teacher), Jomtup Charoenlapnumchai, Thamboon Uyyanonvara, Katanyou Wuttichaitanakorn, and Andorn Meesreedee. The exhibition also includes the photos of “green-tailed sunbird and gorals” which are unique animals found in Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai province. EGCO Group and the TCOF have been working for over 20 years to conserve and rehabilitate the environment and wildlife on Doi Inthanon. Partial proceeds from photography sales at the exhibition will be donated to charitable organizations working on wildlife conservation in Thailand, such as Thailand Hornbill Research Foundation.
