Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group organized the Shareholder Site Visit 2023, inviting the shareholders to visit its business operation at Banpong power plant in Tapha Sub-district, Banpong District, Ratchaburi Province. Mr. Thongsuk Suksamran, General Manager of Banpong Utilities Company Limited under EGCO Group, represented the company in welcoming a group of shareholders as well as presenting information and answering inquiries about the Bangpong power plant’s operating management and business. This activity was in line with the corporate governance principle. Moreover, it helped nurture trust among shareholders in the company’s business direction and promoted a good relationship between both parties. 

Banpong power plant has been operated by Banpong Utilities Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of EGCO Group. It is a natural gas-fueled cogeneration plant with a total installed capacity of 256 MW which supplies electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and industrial users in the adjacent area. It also sells steam to the industrial users. Banpong power plant is one of EGCO Group’s power plants providing stable revenue to the company. It also supports power security in the West region as well as the industrial sector and economic growth in Thailand. At the same time, the power plant has lived in harmony with the local communities.
