EGCO GROUP APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT
Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group, the first Independent Power Producer in Thailand, announced the appointment of Mr. Chanin Chaonirattisai as its new President according to the Board of Directors’ resolution on July 27, 2015. Mr. Chanin will succeed Mr. Sahust Pratuknukul, whose engagement term will be ended on September 30, 2015.
Mr. Chanin will officially assume his president position on October 1, 2015. He will lead EGCO Group in pursuing its business being the efficient management of existing power plants, managing the projects under construction to be completed as scheduled and within the planned budget, and seeking new investment opportunities.
Presently, Mr. Chanin serves as Deputy Governor – Policy and Planning of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). His extensive experiences in supervising power purchase agreement management and power system control center will greatly benefit EGCO Group’s business management.
Mr. Chanin graduated with a master and a bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Missouri-Rolla, USA. He also attended various management courses from leading domestic and international institutes.
